Connection Inspection Management System


Version 1 Connect2 is a specialist software system that will help your business improve the handling and management of the Water Supply (Water Fittings Regulations 1999) or equivalent byelaws. Developed in connection with industry experts, Version 1 Connect2 will help you maximize cost savings through the most effective use of skilled staff required to action the regulations.

Version 1 Connect2 stores data in a scalable Oracle database. Reports can be outputted in a variety of formats including HTML, Excel and Word. A rapid start up can be achieved with a number of Version 1 Connect2 features, these include:

  • Pre-loaded SIC codes and chemicals list
  • A full range of enquiries incorporated with output in various formats
  • Provision of “report wizard” to design and save standard reports and ad-hoc reports

  • Log Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) valve and other fitting tests details, identify when the next test is due and record details of fittings together with installation details



  • Create and maintain details of commercial bodies, e.g. the Environment Agency, farming companies, vehicle contractors, water and sewerage companies etc, and premises e.g. head offices, treatment works, farms etc
  • Other details maintained here include determinands, vehicles, location types, sample points etc



Reporting has powerful facilities that will allow:

  • Facilitates staff management, profile access and auditing. It allows the user to create profiles to which users can be linked. User access can then be controlled.
  • Audit Trail Maintenance can be user-controlled down to individual attributes within database tables with options to audit, insert, amend and/or delete actions
  • Auditing allows selected changes and records to be date-stamped, retaining the before and after values as well as all the user-responsible changes
  • Includes options to manage interfaces to the system which will enable meter readings of volumes and sample results to be imported and maintained and calculated changes to be exported
