Oracle's Tom Kyte visits Version 1 for expert forum

    Version 1 hosted a roundtable session with Tom Kyte, Oracle’s Senior Technical Architect, at its Dublin Headquarters on Monday 10th March. Tom is the technical authority on Oracle RDBMS software and is also responsible for the renowned AskTom website.

    The session was a key event in Version 1's Oracle Capability calendar, affording Consultants the chance to  learn first hand some key insights from the revered Oracle guru. Primary discussions pertained to the 12c version of the database, highlighting new performance features and key feature improvements. Key facets of Oracle Best Practice were also up for debate. In addition Tom hosted a 30 minute Q&A with questions centering on Oracle’s “Platform as a service” cloud offerings to best PL/SQL practices for developers. Tom did not disappoint, taking questions with his famed ease and provided clear and concise information drawing from his wealth of experience with the Oracle RDBMS in general.
