You will be working for the AWS Practice which consists of some of the best Architects, DevOps Engineers and Consultants. The customer engagements are varied and the exposure to cutting-edge technologies is always present. You will work in a mixture of teams to deliver solutions to some of the most high-profile customers in Europe. As a Solution architect, you'll assist in implementing and supporting large-scale cloud implementations on Amazon AWS. Other duties include architecting and implementing cloud solutions for different applications, automating cloud operations and cloud deployments.

• Assume responsibility for the architecture of solutions that leverage advanced analytics, data pipelines, web portals, statistical models, Machine Learning and AI, through our technology platform
• Draw on the strength and experience of a wider team of Solution Architects across Risk Capital, Enterprise Architecture
• Good design and diverse communication skills is a must - explaining a complex solution to a non-technical audience, eliciting details of complex business processes from subject matter experts
• Experience building and deploying complex applications, particularly event-driven cloud-native applications, as well as integrating enterprise solutions
• Experience in Agile/DevOps, consulting with application development teams on same
• Cloud technology, ideally AWS including PaaS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, Docker, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, SageMaker etc.
• Understanding of distributed application design, patterns, and experience producing design diagrams and documenting standards
• Experience in any modern data stack technologies a significant plus: Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, StreamSets etc.

Essential criteria:

• Experience as a Solution Architect
• Knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework
• Linux (RHEL, Centos) and Bash
• Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies
• Commutable to Dublin, Ireland

Preferred criteria:

• AWS certifications (Associate and Professional level)
• Security experience
• A keen interest in technology
• Have previously been hands on
• At least one software development language (Python, NodeJS, Java, .Net etc.)
• CDK, Typescript, Terraform
• An interest in mentoring and developing others

Location: This role can be delivered in a hybrid nature from out Dublin office, with an expected on site presence of 2 days per week.
